Just saw Watchmen tonight (great movie by the way, but reading the graphic novel helps, even if they changed a lot of it) and if you've seen the film, you'll notice that the film actually has "cameos" of sorts from our favorite cartoon stars!

Near the end of the film when Ozymandias is awaiting the results of his project (no spoliers here!) he watches a large number of TV's at once awaiting news coverage. On a few of the TV's were quite a number of Looney Tunes cartoons. There were about three that I saw (Haredevil Hare, what looked like Dough Ray Me-Ow and perhaps Tweetie Pie), but did anyone else happen to catch other clips?

It's a Warner Bros. movie, Ozymandias has a wall of TVs - I knew they'd sneak some Looney Tunes in there somewhere! (There's another Looney Tunes reference elsewhere in the story, where a TV interviewer greets Dr. Manhattan with "What's up, Doc?")

Of course, the Watchmen alternate universe brings up some interesting questions regarding the flow of other facets of history since 1985. After all, we see that pretty much all the same celebrities exist in the Watchmen universe that exist in our universe. (SPOILERS AHEAD) So if half of New York City gets destroyed and millions get killed, which famous figures living in New York are included in that disaster? Ye gods, I'd hate to think of a world where someone from Warner Home Video gets blown up and we never get the Golden Collections 20 years later...

Surprisingly, that line didn't make it into the movie. :bugs2:
