Earlier today, someone told me that Cartoon Network is going to start producing reality shows on their network?

Man, I mean, I rarely watch CN nowadays, but this is really an all time low for this channel, if this is true.

Yes, that will boost their already stellar ratings.;)

I miss the old Cartoon Network, back when it had cartoons. That didn't suck.

no.
Jerry Beck had posted this news, as well as the proposed logo for CN's change to reality television.

Hilariously, the designer of the logo demanded that the news and the logo be deleted. Way to save your dignity, Man.

Nothing is farther from reality than cartoons...That's what makes them so great.

It's interesting to note, when a recent poll was released that many Americans are getting sick and tired of reality shows and now this channel want's to venture into this moronic so-called entertainment.

Yeah good luck CN on getting viewers for this one, you morons.

This will make moderating the CN forum at ToonZone interesting (my username there is nakak, BTW).

Do you guys want me to find another faleplam picture?

Also, I'm not looking forward to reading about the response over at Toon Zone...

Cueball, you know what I'm talking about, right?

Brother. If you want to boost your ratings here's my advice:

1. Drop the live-action ideas. You saw how well Re-animate worked and if that isn't a clue about having live-action on an animation network, you're lost.

2. Beg Warners to get the rights back to show cartoons with these characters::bugs2: :daffy: :tweety: :sylvester :ysam: :speedy::befuddled. Enough said.

Just to clarify, the movie, titled "Re-Animated", DID get good ratings (whether it was because of the audience's curiosity is beside the point).

It's because of that that led to the spinoff series, which did poorly in ratings, leading to its quick death.

That's what I meant. The spin-off series.

The reasons to not watch CN just keeps growing. :shame:

Really, though, IMO Cartoon Network is somewhat improving on certain things.

Their past two original comedies are actually quite good. For the first time in years I'm actually looking forward to new episodes of something on CN when they come out. And as I said a zillion times I can't wait for "Adventure Times" and "Cartoonstitute".

Of course, that only represents a very small part of CN. I've never cared for their action, Canadian acquisitions, and other stuff. But the fact that they actually have some good shows says something.

Shame that live-action is coming to CN, but since I only watch a very small part of CN anyway (and only when new eps come out), I can't complain TOO much.

:Vomits in an off stage bathroom :
OMG when will the CN's execs learn Reality TV is dying, thanks to a crap
load of poorly made shows on other networks. ( and a long writers strike last season) Reality TV is dying slow death
Even Survivor that started this whole mess is becoming unpopular ratings draw.

CN execs need to return to there roots or have the cAble companies offer
Boomerang as a Full basic cable station (aka force) and pull it off the Overprised digital packages. I gladly give Cspan channels crap for Boomerang and the classics.
No Way if this flys will I watch it.

I have not watch much of CN or AS since Jan 1 Bugs Marathon.
Even Family Guy and may of the former Fox shows and there own AS
shows are starting becoming stale.

CN BRING BACK THE CLASSICS NOT JUST TOM AND JERRY.
ALL OF THEM...PLEASE>>>

What really bugs me is the fact that CARTOON Network still has not changed its name to reflect its current programming. I can deal with their not showing classic cartoons anymore- it really sucks, but it's not the end of the world. But the fact that they still call themselves Cartoon Network defies even the most fundamental logic.

I think IMO the CN execs are (CENSORD) Idiots.
At least Toon DIsney changed there name when they
well now are trying a format that now failing to X D .
Our Cable system dropped TD off the Digital package in early Jan
when or near the switch to from TD.
(THough I never was able to get it were i am)
CN needs to change there name to something that fits em now.
(insert your own name).
I am buying DVD collections of the cartoons i watched as a kid, as well
as my older VHS tapes i am transferning now to DVD, I may never watch
CN if the keep up this attack and bad programing choices.

One day they will find out they will have no viewers.

I am hoping this year our Cable system will give us Boomerang,
cause CN program has become so bad, I fast forward over it going
to Sci fi or History anymore.

If CN would use the good programing they have and mix in some of there
newer shows from the last 2 yrs, ( and keep some of there poorer made shows from the last 10 yrs in the vault ) it be a pretty good line up.

WE can only hope someone from CN ( and we know someone from them tend to read the boards) will see and maybe figure out there still
a market for the classics and good new shows if they were to open there
eyes and see.
