Welcome to this week's Greatest Warner Bros. Cartoon Poll.

What is this you ask? Read these directions below:

Starting in this thread, someone picks their favorite Warner cartoon from a category, I will list. The person will pick their favorite cartoon from that specific category. The cartoon mentioned in the thread the most will make it to the semi-finals (which I will post in poll-form), and if really successful to the actual finals (which will also be in poll-form)

Rules:

These threads will be posted every Sunday. Only I or one of the other GAC moderators will post them.
You may only post one favorite cartoon
The general GAC rules still apply
This week's category: Your favorite Warner Bros. cartoon from the DePatie-Freleng period (1964-67).

You're asking for the impossible, Pietro.... Is there really a GOOD cartoon in this period (or at least one someone would call their favorite?) ???

Nothing really stood out from that period, so I picked "The Wild Chase".

Bartholomew vs The Wheel

A valiant effort from McKimson. Although, you can tell he was sort of campaigning for an Oscar with this one. But, compared to what else was being produced at the studio around this time, it certainly stands above the rest.

Ummm, there aren't many good cartoons from this period, but the best would probably be "Pancho's Hideaway".

I agree. I think Speedy's nemesis should have been Pancho instead of Daffy.

Or even just Yosemite Sam or Sylvester if they wanted to milk more out of those characters for television... Rotating between the two would make better cartoons than with Daffy.....

I'm gonna go with "Corn on the Cop," featuring Porky's only appearance during this era.

I know I'm definitely in the minority here, but I actually enjoy a lot of the cartoons from this period. Certainly, there was nothing made in the 60's that rivals what was produced during the 40's and 50's, but I'd certainly rather watch these over almost any attempts made since Mel Blanc's death.

Certainly it's a lean period. I'll vote for my favorite of the Larriva Road Runners, Shot and Bothered, since the comic timing is actually pretty good on that one. Like the scene with the suction cups and the tunnel.

I guess "Suppressed Duck."

I don't like much this period, but "Shot And Bothered" is my favorite.

Actually, the time frame for this one is 1964 through to 1967. Quackodile Tears came out in 1962.
