It's amazing what you can find on eBay.

A 16mm copy one of the 90s "Looney Tunes" revival shorts, Box Office Bunny, is for sale on eBay. I'm not kidding. (http://cgi.ebay.com/16MM-SCOPE-CARTOON-BOXOFFICE-BUNNY-AGFA-COLOR_W0QQitemZ180318786288QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_F ilm?hash=item180318786288&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C 240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A2%7C294%3A50)

While we're at it, a 16mm print of one of the Roger Rabbit shorts (http://cgi.ebay.com/16MM-SCOPE-CARTOON-TRAIL-MIX-UP-AGFA-COLOR_W0QQitemZ180322758392QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_F ilm?hash=item180322758392&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C 240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50) is being sold, too.

I have no idea where these prints originated from. I never realized that 16mm copies of those cartoons were made at all.

Apparently these prints are in the original widescreen glory, so you'd have to get the special lens for your 16mm player.

16mm was still more or less a mainstream format until the early 90s. Distributors were still renting prints of new Hollywood features very recently in this decade, in fact, some may still be doing it on a limited basis.

Box Office Bunny was made in widescreen?

Well, notice how cropped the pictures look. Since The NeverEnding Story II was released in a 2.35 ratio, WB must have cropped the short to fit the scope ratio.

This is getting off-topic, but does anyone out there have an extra copy of the posted magazine laying around? I had one years ago, but it got lost. If anyone has a spare copy and is willing to part with it...

16mm scope prints are unsqueezed 2:1, so prints are shown at 2.66:1, losing some info in the process.

I have bought several items from Bob over the years.
