I'm thinking about watching all US theatrical cartoons from a given month (a month like April 1940 or September 1938, tho these are simply examples), and was wondering if this idea had occurred to anyone else and, if so, if they had determined an easy month to go for. By easy I mean the cartoons are readily available commercially or viewable online. I realize there is probably no complete month under those conditions (I'm not counting the odd post-Lantz closure (or even late Lantz) cartoons which are probably all alone for their month, as evidenced by "golden age" in the subject line) what with the spotty current commercial release coverage of so many studios, but figured it was worth seeing if anyone had come close.
Relatedly, is there a consolidated chronological list of US theatrical releases that would let me avoid flipping back and forth in Of Mice and Magic?
