I have been inspired by Jon Macy's Woody Woodpecker avatar and decided let's make an all week Macy's Thanksgiving Parade avatar salute. So pick your favorite Macys' giant balloon and get ready to celebrate the holiday weekend.

P.S.
Can anyone help me with a Macys balloon avatar of either Donald Duck, Bullwinkle, or Underdog?I would highly apperciate it very much.;)

I haven't really been following the parade. Did they decide to change the design of the Garfield float to match the awful movie design or are they using the regular traditional Garfield float?

I decided to just stick to my Tom Turk avatar instead. I do like the Macey's avatars that I am seeing, particularly Larry's Bart avatar.

Larry T's avatar reminded me of that joke on the Simpsons when Bart didn't know the Thanksgiving balloons and Homer said if they had balloons on every cartoon character, the parade would be a farce. Just as a Bart Simpson balloon passes.

"Did they decide to change the design of the Garfield float to match the awful movie design or are they using the regular traditional Garfield float?"

Thankfully, it was the traditonal Garfield design.

They have updated the Garfield balloon, though. I think it was done last year. I saw it on TV this morning, this new one has Garfield holding onto his teddy bear.

The old Garfield balloon was retired back in 1996, as Macy's made a new verison of this Barfield balloon last year.

It seems that this year's parade's biggest star was "Spongebob Squarepants", from what the paradegoers said.

Yep, that's correct. I also saw that Barney the dinosaur is still popular among the toddlers by seeing the Barney float. Don't tell me parents are still allowing their children to watch that brainless rubbish.
