I almost forgot that these were recently released on DVD until I saw them on the shelf at Kmart a few days ago. Anyway, I haven't heard much about them. The big question is - are there any edits? (Besides the Wilma-as-Columbia-Lady logo on Flintstone)?

My wife found "Hey There, It's Yogi Bear" at Target and it will be under the Christmas tree for me. The Yogi Bear DVD says it is widescreen and the Flintstone DVD says it is Standard Version, which sounds just like the Canadian release a few years ago. I was tempted to buy the Flintstone one, but I already own the Canadian version.
If no one else fills in the details, I'll let everyone know on Christmas day.

I got Hey There, It's Yogi Bear on DVD for Christmas and I am pleased to report that it is the whole movie, including the song by James Darren, "Ven-E, Ven-O, Ven-I". It has definitely been digitally remastered; it looks and sounds great. My only quibble would be at the very beginning of the film. There was no Columbia Pictures or Clubhouse Pictures or Hanna-Barbera Productions opening title - it just goes straight to the opening title song. It's a minor quibble compared to the whole movie being intact with no edits. The only bonus features were trailers for the Smurfs, Popeye and Looney Tunes.

I spoke to George Feltenstein who assures me that both films are completely uncut, except for the Columbia logos. Unfortunately, Warners didn't even try to contact Columbia to see if they get those cleared (as they did with the Paramount logos on the Popeye cartoons). It doesn't make sense to me why they didn't do it, but there you are. We had to take the closing "Screen Gems" logos off the ends of the Huck and Yogi shows, too, after we had included them on The Flintstones and Top Cat.

Just being lazy as usual. I hate those kind of people.

Seems like it doesn't make any real sense at all.
If there was a better excuse or those openings, I'd suggest sticking in a "Turner Entertainment Co. Presents" caption/logo, but that's my opinion on how to cover over the opening audio alone.
Still find it weird Yogi is in widescreen but Flintstone isn't. It's like, they couldn't make up their minds either. Please, one or the other, and stay with it (preferably widescreen anyway).

Boy, it's gonna be strange being able to see Hey There, It's Yogi Bear, without Disney Channel's old phone number displayed on the screen every 5 minutes like my old copy does.
And PLUS, I'll get to finally see the ending! My copy abruptly ends after Ranger Smith rescues Yogi from the construction site.
You know I haven't seen either DVD being sold anywhere. :(

Feeling luckier I had DC all the time in the 80's, though there's a few occasions my mom taped stuff on it that had a phone number during those fabled weekends.

It's your standard feel-good ending (oops, hope I didn't spoil that too).

Best Buy doesn't have it either? That's odd.

I didn't find either movie at the usual places I buy DVDs (Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Borders, or Hastings). I found them at K-Mart.

I've seen both of those at Best Buy. Must depend on the particular store.

Is the widescreen Hey There, It's Yogi Bear anamorphic? I'd love to get it if it is...

Yes it is.
Also, Target is selling both movies for $14.99.

The movie looked absolutely great on my new Samsung Blu-Ray player that I got for Christmas. The digital remaster came out very nice, too.

I finally saw a copy of The Man called Flinstone in person (no, I didn't buy it), and I noticed something odd: The box has a circle that says "The original 1966 feature". I wonder what made Warner agree to put the date on the cover.
I have a feeling that this fact has been discussed here before, but I can't remember for sure.

At least nobody's that uptight over the widescreening issue here. I'm not. I just don't know why they couldn't put in an effort to do so for the other film.

We probably did, but it's still pretty silly they had to and all (let alone teasing me into thinking the Wilma/Columbia thing would've been kept in too).
