I was watching Let It Be Me on the dvd of the Astaire Rogers flick Follow the Fleet and I noticed that at the end, superimposed over the closing credits is a copyright notice that says "Dubbed version copyright 1995." Can anyone tell me what that exactly means?

"Dubbed Version" refers to the "remastering" job done by Turner before the Warner Bros./Turner/AOL merger. Their TV copies of the pre-1948 Warner cartoons were in poor shape, so they went back to the original film prints from the A.A.P. library and made new transfers, digitally adjusting the color on some of the more faded copies. The only major flaw was that they removed a lot of the original "That's All Folks!" end title cards and made up some generic ones with the new "dubbed version" copyright notice. I believe "dubbed version" itself refers to the voice-dubbing they did on these new transfers for foreign markets.

These versions are not to be confused with the fully remastered cartoons seen on the Looney Tunes Golden Collection DVD sets.

These versions were amazing for the mid 1990s, but now they look so pale in contrast to the pure restorations on the LTGCs. What does everyone here think of the cartoon itself?

Even though it is not too humourous, it has a great storyline and decent artwork. It does not get saccharine at all, especially near the end Bing is so nasty towards the hen. It kinda makes you teary really. I love the ending, I am not going to spoil it for you.
