It's the cut version, though. :( The news blurb has a link to a great website that covers the slow "death" of a great film. There are some clips on the site, too, if you want to see how great the animation is. As for a LT/MM connection, Ken Harris was one of the lead animators.

Any other "Thief" fans out there?

I have it on VHS. I'm assuming it's the cut version because the thief that's supposed to be silent has Jonathon Winters babbling on and there are several ridiculous musical numbers throughout.

This film was introduced to me while at animation school. Apparently, every Disney feature made in the '90's borrowed heavily from this film. While those films went on to much aclaim and box office, TatC is collecting dust on video store shelves.

The animation industry is a vicious jungle. Only those with bloodlust get ahead (namely the money-grubbing executives), hardly any artistry is involved.
