It was mentioned in the Blue Ribbon thread yesterday that 5 cartoons' title card after the post-48 era were cut and replaced for the blue ribbon bastardization. 4 is quite obvious: "Often an Orphan", "Ducksters", "Tweety's SOS" and "Cheese Chasers". The rings are faded to the title card, then the original credits are popping out from nowhere. Most obvious examples are Often... and Cheese Chasers, where we can actually imagine the oringal title card.

As for "Leghorn Blows at Midnight", I really don't know where this bastardization theory come from. It was mentioned in Dave Mackey's site as well.... what is the exact source for this?

I see no single clue for this issue in the title card really. It works like usual: pops out after the rings, and fades into the credits. Foggy's and Henery's model also look 40ish, just look at them in the All Fowled Up t.c., I bet if it was made in the mid-50s, they should have looked very different.

Not sure of the origins, but I have heard the tale of "Leghorn" being an alternate title from folks I trust like Larry T and Dave Mackey through the years.

Adding to the mystery/debate is that on the old board, I remember someone mentioning that on one of the Looney Tunes Day-By-Day calendars from the 1990s, one day featured a still of the "Leghorn Blows at Midnight" title card which was totally different from the BR one we are familiar with.

That's about all I know... here's hoping the original negative w/ titles surfaces someday and puts this to rest.

I'm wondering Dave's opinion on that matter. Seeing the intro again and again, I feel the whole cartoon is just like another Blue Ribbonized one. The sister cartoon "Henhouse Henery" has the same method of changing colors from the title to the credits btw.
