Tortoise and the Hare is a cartoon I've seen since I was a little kid. Funny thing is, I liked it so much, I refused to watch any other take on the story, because I considered Disney's version the true cartoon version of the story. I was a stupid kid.

I do like the cartoon a lot. I have seen Lantz's Jolly Little Elves. It's so-so.

I wonder if a debate will erupt that Max Hare is the real first incarnation of Bugs Bunny.

Well, I have no idea what the other two are like, so Tortoise and the Hare is suddenly deemed the winner.

And if you hate cartoons, tell me, are you here sell me {Insert product placmet here}.

Cartuners. Just take two unfunny comics strips, put them together in the Cartuner, and it makes them funny!

This one's too easy. Tortoise and the Hare, all the way. The others look crude in comparison.

That would be AWESOME if it were true!

Heh, looks like Tortoise and the Hare is winning by a landslide.

What!? No Popeye cartoons!? Really! They blow the Disney version of the Tortoise and the Hare out of the water any day. Anyway i'm going to vote for "Sock A Bye Baby" if there was an option for it.

I voted for "Tortoise and the Hare", even though "Jolly Little Elves" has that doughnut song that sticks in your head until you are driven to near insanity.

My vote goes for TORTOISE AND THE HARE on this one. I have never seen HOLIDAY LAND :( (would like to as this is the first Columbia Color cartoon) and Jolly Little Elves I just did not really find worthy.
I must say I am surprised that a few other cartoons such as Fleischers POOR CINDERELLA and LITTLE DUTCH MILL did not get nominations for this year as those two (especially POOR CINDERELLA) are very beautiful, and ornate cartoons both with very decent stories.

I'm voting for Tortoise and the Hare as well... its characters are given great personality delineation and the cartoon has some wonderful animation sequences depicting speed. I've seen the other two contenders and to me they pale by comparison. I thought Holiday Land was just a little too syrupy in in some places.
