With all these rumours of a potential revival of the Warner Bros cartoons, thanks to John Kricfalusi (sorry if I spelt his name incorrectly...) or whoever, I would like to lead a discussion among LT/MM fans on how THEY think the "new" MM/LT Title cards should look.

I can tell you right off the bat that for music, I would suggest that WB use the Milt Franklyn opening theme outtakes as heard on LTGC 5 (personally I prefer the first version with the funky percussion in the background). They never got used for the non-rings opening of the 1960's, so I think they should get used no matter what, even if they ARE almost 50 years old!

My idea would have had red, green and blue rings, and would have been a throwback to the (now don't get mad at me for saying this) creditless pre-1948 Blue Ribbons, but with all credit given at the CLOSING credits.

Here are some questions I would like answered from all those fans interested in contributing their opinions:

What ring colour scheme?

What medium (traditionally-painted, CGI, etc)?

Any Bugs/Daffy/Porky headshots or reclining Bugs?

I am listening, so don't be afraid to voice your opinion.

I hope we see some traditional cartoons, with CGI restricted to one-shots. As for ring colors, how about red for gag-oriented cartoons (Bugs-Elmer, Bugs-Sam, Foggy-Doggy and anything with Wile E.), green for character stories (Daffy-Porky, Foggy-Prissy, or Elmer on his own) and blue for one-shots.

Kricfalusi was only pitching the idea of using new animated wraparounds to introduce the classic Looney Tunes shorts on TV again. Sort of like what Jones and Freleng did for The Bugs Bunny Show. He wasn't suggesting that he'd make new cartoons.

Talking about this is all well and good. But I have a bigger question. Forgive the caps, but: WHEN WILL LOONEY TUNES RETURN TO TV AGAIN? That's what's frustrating about something like this. And also, they need transfers of the DVD versions in order to attract an audience for the Looney Tunes to be sucessful.

Thanks for clarifying that JJ, but I thought I heard somewhere that these new shows would mix classic shorts with some newer shorts, a la Disney's House of Mouse. I guess I heard that wrong.

However, I would like to add that this is a "What if" thread, so I guess it's OK to keep this thread going.

WHEN WILL LOONEY TUNES RETURN TO TV AGAIN?Jerry Beck was talking with Warner about putting out a syndicate package.

I imagine that's one of the big things in store for Warner cartoons soon.

But corporations move slow, so don't expect this to happen as quickly as you'd like.
