I picked up both volumes of the Bozo syndicated shows -- they are the ones done in Boston starring Frank Avruch as Bozo. Each volume contains 30 of the half-hours. I've been trying to catalogue them, and it's not easy. Each volume lists the episodes within as Shows #1-30 (so there are two sets of #1-30). These are clearly not in any kind of sequential order, since shows with a 1966 date appear before shows with a 1965 date.
Is there any kind of available list of the actual episode numbers (I am assuming they don't have specific titles per se) for this series? (For instance, I have a tape dub of one of the half-hours with a slate before it, and it is identified as show #89 -- there were 130 altogether, produced between 1965 and 1966.) Failing this, I even would settle for identifying the shows by the name of the Bozo cartoon included, but the majority of them have the title left off, so it's a matter of trying to match them up with a long list of titles (which I have tried to do with only moderate success).
I grew up with Chicago's Bozo, and still think the Chicago Bozo was much better -- but it's still cool to have these shows, shot on color videotape in the mid-1960s.
I also remember reading or being told that Larry Harmon himself appeared occasionally (not as Bozo, but as various characters -- maybe even Bozo's grandmother, for instance). Any confirmation of this?
