Just stumbled across this.

For those interested in nostalgic collectible items.

http://www.kiddierecords.com

Within a fairly big collection of kid's records is a handful of cartoon-related items, mostly from the early 50s, I'm guessing... Bugs, Daffy, Woody, Bozo, Mel Blanc.

Downloadable sound files and large images.

Enjoy.

Ver-r-r-y nice!

And here's a nostalgic in-house, on-topic attachment from a couple of years back:

Four vintage cartoon-themed LPs (http://forums.goldenagecartoons.com/showthread.php?t=5439) :D

Interestingly, I think I might have owned a couple of those records as a kid. Nice to see they're getting some much-needed due.

Here's one I had as a kid... originally a late 40s 78 rpm release, but I must have gotten an early 50s 45 rpm version.

Stupendous artwork - and story - clearly from the McKimson unit... McK, Pierce and Foster have been credited, at least online.

The cover doesn't really show it so much, but the booklet interior illustrations look like they might have been actual cel + background setups, created for this package.

Before you ask... no, I don't have it anymore... natch.

I have all those Capitol Warner character records somewhere.

They're really corny, but it's always great to hear Mel Blanc and Arthur Q. Bryan's voices.
