I though I ask since we know some companies read the board.
but Does anyone know when Disney will release vol 2 of the
Gummi Bears collection? I know there was delay do to problems
with the filming on some eposdes orginally, when Sunwoo did
the filming. Same issues Tale spin had in its later years.

Buts its been almost 2 yrs since set 1 came out, will set 2 be out around
the time LT GC vol 6 be out.

Don't count on any more Disney Afternoon sets. At least not for the immediate future. Disney has no plans to release any more of these right now.

And of course, in the DVD World, "not right now" is slowly starting to mean "not ever" in every situation.

that's what I was afraid of, there so many good shows that should be
out on DVD and many companies fail to see the market.
I am hoping that it does mean maybe this year we get set 2 in Nov.
But I starting to lose all hope on anything anymore.
Disney for Years never relased GB to VHS in the States, only in UK, and some in Europe and Asia, when the VHS tapes were reasled in the States of Tale Spin.
I am now sure why they are not wanting to realease any of there DA shows to DVD, but seems every series is missing episodes that are not on DVD.
But yet they seem to have time to put out the shows that took over
the Disney Channel after Vault Disney died, and was taken over by Suite life, Lizzie and hanna
WHY DISNEY :(

WHY DISNEY :(

One word: Ratings.

I guess the Disney Channel just doesn't feel that there is a market for the older material.

if thats true why do they show 3 showings of the same epsode of suite life. I put it on disney at 3 different times, and the same epsode were
there in the chicken restraint.
They need to bring back Vault disney to compete with Adult swim, even though there programing has gotten just as bad.

I wouldn't mind seeing more Disney Afternoon series, I need to complete my Darkwing Duck/Gargoyles/Gummi Bears collections!
If Disney eventually continues these sets, I wouldn't mind seeing The Wuzzles, Raw Toonage, Bonkers, Goof Troop, Aladdin, Shnookums & Meat Funny Cartoon Show, Timon & Pumbaa and House of Mouse.
Or if anything, how about single releases of all the uncut "Intro Episodes" they would play the weekend before the series began? There were extra-long intro-episodes made for Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, Talespin, Bonkers, Goof Troop....Aladdin - which was actually released to home video as "The Return of Jafar". I'd consider picking those up.

Gummi bears had 2 original episodes, one is the intro episode that premired the show on Sept 14, 1985, and the 2nd is the Piolet episode that never aired on NBC but only was shown to the execs when Cubbi was
know as Bubble gummi. This epsode is rummerd to have been around for
years but never been confermed, if it still exists or not.
I love to see Plunder and Lighting of Tale Spin on DVD with the original cut songs that the cut week epsodes were missing. As well as the missing episodes that are rummered to be there, including a piolet that called Miami Mice that was the original for Resue Rangers series.

"Gummi Bears" indeed!!Hey, Bartman, cut the guy a break.

I love lots of classic cartoons and some modern cartoons. "Gummi Bears" isn't on my favorite list. In fact, I used to actively dislike it. But that doesn't mean those who want to see it shouldn't be allowed to have it.

Years ago at a comic company I worked for an editor who personally disliked one of the company's former star characters, so forcibly retired him. No amount of protests would change his mind; if he didn't like that character, he didn't think anyone else could have a valid reason to like that character.

Alternate, hypothetical example: Jane and her family love soccer. Jane's friend Mary doesn't like soccer. Jane and her family are watching soccer on TV when Mary comes in and changes the channel to basketball.
Mary has her own TV, so were Jane's personal preferences really inconveniencing Mary?

Sigh.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but this is really starting to get old.

I can't wait to watch 'Ducktales Volume 4'. I can get free power from Carl Barks rolling in his grave. :D

Gummi Bears suck. They stick to my teeth.

Ah, but the trick is to suck the gummies! I would say I've always liked the candy, as for the cartoons...heh.

Try Haribo's Goldbears. Miles ahead of any other gummi candy... great soft texture, but (somehow) don't stick in your teeth, even when you chew them. I would not like gummi candy were it not for Haribo's uniquely good interpretation.

Way to go, David! Now, while I'm not certain these are the Goldbears (note the varying shades), they are Haribo, and for those who prefer to seek out certified kosher candies, the gummis in this package fit that description as well. Nosh away! :D

I don't really care for Haribo. There's just something about the flavor that doesn't sit right with me.
