Ben Simon of DVDToons.com (http://www.dvdtoons.com) reviews the CGI Mickey Mouse DVD "Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas".

What immediately strikes is the plastic-y look of our usually beloved characters. They don’t look like the Mickey and Minnie we know, being more like Disney Store shop window displays come to life, complete with shiny eyes (and since WHEN was Mickey made of vinyl?) and ears that no longer remain rounded from any angle, instead going for the failed perspective look of the late 1940s and 1950s shorts.

Just from catching the previews, the characters looked like they were designed for the first Sony Playstation.

Some characters are better left in their respective mediums, and were not meant to branch into other mediums. Clearly, this is just another attempt by Disney to cash in on the popularity of 3D, and continuing to do what they do 'best'. Video sequles. Wake me when Disney finally comes to their senses.
