For my 100th post I thought we'd make a thread of all the cartoon series to make over 100 cartoons. I'll get us started.
The Simpsons (1989-present)
Popeye (1933-57)
Tom and Jerry (MGM (1941-59)
Looney Tunes
Merrie Melodies

Feel free to add.

Felix the Cat
Aesop's Fables (1921-1929) this takes the cake at some 427 cartoons.

Aesops fables- The most underrated cartoons of the 20s and 30s. Worth checking out for everyone.

Angry Beavers. I believe 126 individual episodes were fully produced.

Captain Planet - he dinged in at 113 if you count both series, which is ok in this case since it unusually saw nothing change about the show onscreen and there were no gaps in between premiers.

I chose this because I have no clue what else would qualify lol! I happenned to read a blurb on the number of episodes when I was reading the shows wiki entry in search of another totally different detail.

Terrytoons trumps them all (1915-1960s) with at least 1000 cartoons!

South Park

Family Guy

GI Joe: A Real American Hero (This includes both the Japanese and Korean produced shows)

Venturing squarely into anime land, I give you the one & only One Piece: 361 episodes and counting in the Japanese production package. (It can also be happily noted that Funimation is in the process of restoring the U.S. episode count and content to its rightful level, and the less said about a certain other anime importer's butchery which made that necessary, the better.)

I remember reading this with a shudder, and just looked it up to confirm: the infamous Abbott & Costello cartoon (i.e. the one with illness/IRS-ravaged Bud Abbott providing his own voice) racked up 156 episodes...

Just by itself, the original 1960-66 "Flintstones" has 166 episodes.

Clutch Cargo, also, I believe. There were only 39 Dudley Do-Right cartoons made.

Fractured Fairy Tales & Peabody's Improbable History both clock in at 94 episodes. Aesop & Son, like Dudley, had 39.

Yogi Bear definitely has over 100 cartoons if you include the original 50+ cartoons, then add on the New Yogi Bear Show, Yogi's Gang, etc. and all the spinoffs.

By the way, the Flintstones original six season run had 166 episodes.

I am getting 141 which is 1.5 times the 94 for Aesop and Peabody, as the short count for Dudley on Bullwinkle, and the 39 is from Dudley's own show, that was made in between Bullwinkle and Hoppity Hooper. That brings his total to 180.
