Who remembers the Fats Waller song "Flatfoot Floogie"? Its title has been spoofed twice (AFAIK). It was referred to as "Flatfoot Flooji" in You're an Education (1938) and as Porky's annoying dog (Flatfoot Flookey) in Porky's Tire Trouble (1939).
It also was referred to as "Flatfoot Flanigan with a Floy Floy" (officer Flanigan) in the opening scene of Thugs with Dirty Mugs (1939) just after the titles.
But the song had been used in:
*You're an Education (1938) (during the so-called "Flatfoot Flooji" scene)
*Daffy Duck in Hollywood (1938) (during the lion scene where you hear the comment "Motion pictures are your best... entertainment!")
*Hollywood Steps Out (1941) (during Johnny Weismuller's Tarzan scene)
*Gorilla My Dreams (1948) (during the "Bingzi-Bangzi" scene where we see various gorilla families with their children)
