There are so many other better cartoons Warner could put out, and we get this.

This was a truly awful cartoon series.

Well, it is a Warner Bros. owned series the cost money to make so they have a right to make as much of that money back as possible. Just letting it rot in the vault would be silly.

I used to like the series but i hating the Sylvester' treatment in each episodes. It sound much brutal than the original cartoons. I'm better to keep my moneys for Tiny Toons and Popeye. :sailor:

Well, on the other hand, there are far WORSE cartoons they could be putting on DVD as well. :p
I figured it was only a matter of time before WB started releasing S&TM to DVD considering how popular Tweety is (in the eyes of the WB's marketing department, anyway. :tweety: )
S&TM was a mixed bag, but I remember there being some decent episodes in there. The first season's shows I remember being nicely animated, but suffering from being a bit overlong (each show's "mystery" tried to fill the entire 30-minute running time). I may pick it up if I can find it at a good price.

What i liked about this series is any WB forgetfull characters like Cool Cat, Gosssamer and Babbit and Catstello figured in some episodes. Despite the style changed over seasons from WB's beautiful design to a muchly kitch style refering to the Jackie Chan show.
Warner Home Video is getting ready to release season 1 of The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries this September!

I wonder if this is Warner's new way to keep the Looney Tunes mainstream? Taz-Mania and Duck Dodgers sets coming soon?
*whoops! Just noticed a previous thread, sorry!
Must be a new plan to keep Looney Tunes mainstream.
Will Taz-Mania and Duck Dodgers sets be next?
The Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries series was pretty bad, but the overall look and animation of the first season was nice.
I'm not sure which season it is when the animation and backgrounds went downhill and every episode had a cool cat reference...

Well shut my things and call me Haze E. Richard, this thing will be released on my birthday, Sweet! :D
As for the show, I remember it a little bit, and I think the only memorable moment of the show was the Minah Bird episode and the theme song, but other than that, yeah, not that good of a show.
The cover is pretty good, though.

When I saw the title of this thread, i thought it meant that Warner Bros. is planning on releasing a collection of Sylvester and Tweety shorts on DVD, outside of the Golden Collections. it might be best to retitle this "Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries coming to DVD"
I am not too excited about this. I'd rather have a Taz-Mania DVD release. But at least this is the whole first season, as opposed to just a volume like Animaniacs and Pinky and the brain had (though it makes sense since those shows were daily shows, as opposed to Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries being a saturday morning series).
