This earlier thread got closed for getting too off-topic, etc

but the theme's still hard to resist.

A couple of more here:

Chuck Berry = Dishonest John (physically, vocally, and who knows what else)
Paris Hilton = Tweety (perhaps even more the Bob Clampett version)

Actually, Tweety's a guy. And he's smart.

Who's fussing over gender? Then you might as well suggest that Popeye + Mammy Yokum don't qualify, either.

Hubie and Bertie are great. Plus the cartoons they are in are really funny, such as Cheese Chasers. Chip and Dale, however, are simply "cute" and not really funny.

For me, they are nothing special. The only cartoon I like for some extent is House-hunting mice from them. Cheese Chasers in particular is a very dull, posing and predictable cartoon for my taste.

Actually, Spooky and Hot Stuff have more in common (the same mischievous

Props as due to J.J. and Jon for still being able to dodge blanket mass media blitzes with style (and I mean that entirely as a compliment!).

The unfortunate answers follow (unfortunately):

1) She's Miley "Hannah Montana" Cyrus (!).

2) Crucially, Disney did no such posing (Vanity Fair magazine commissioned it) and public record has it that the Mouse Factory is just as incensed with the published results as a whole lot of preteens' moms have no doubt become in more recent days.

Thanks Geezil!
I've been unable, try as I might, to entirely dodge the mass media blitzes. I've heard of Miley Cyrus (http://www.theonion.com/content/columnists/hanna_montanas_secret) (never heard her music though), and seen one photo of her from RADAR magazine. (http://www.radaronline.com/from-the-magazine/2008/04/power_brats_miley_cyrus_lourdes_ciccone_maddox_shi loh_jolie.php) She looks different in the photo from Vanity Fair than she does in the one from RADAR.

Though, uh, "censoring" the Miley photo kinda deflated my Separated At Birth point (and sure, it wasn't quite toon related, except tangentially in Alice's case--but it could certainly be best understood in toon-fan terms), I'm glad that this thread hasn't (so far) been undermined by extraneous debates over pedophilia the way its predecessor was undermined by extraneous debates over the papacy. (And for the record, my own attitude t/w the Miley photo parallels my attitude t/w the Censored 11, i.e. I don't want to pretend there's nothing, er, "wrong", but let's not get too zealously proscriptive about it. Besides, at this point the pic's too much of a "media phenomenon", much as Janet Jackson's nipple shield was a few years ago.)

Getting back on topic of sorts, I've been pondering whether there's any Yosemite Sam/Danny Bonaduce parallels...

The T&J animators said that they used Lana Turner footage for reference on animating Tom's girlfriend (though the design was swiped from an earlier Rudy Ising cartoon The Alley Cat).

Seeing the Dover Boys for the first time in a spell, I just noticed now that Dan Backslide starts by saying what was to be a Dick Dastardly signature line, "drat and double drat". And I'm also reminded of how when I first saw the toon in '79, Dora Standpipe reminded me of Lene Lovich...
