Okay, so I'm watching the Smurfs dvd set today. Much of the animation is rife with the pitfalls that befell the Saturday Morning cartoon industry. However, every once in a while, I saw a scene that was what I thought was pretty well done. I even called it "Scribner-esque", not just for the quality but also for its style of movement. It actually flowed fairly well, not limited at all.
So then I looked through the credits and saw that one of the animators named was George Scribner. I don't know much about Rod's family. Did he have a brother who was an animator as well? My search on www.imdb.com found no link to Rod or anyone else either.

Didn't the same George Scribner direct Disney's "Oliver and Company" as well?

Actually, I found this (http://www.scribnerart.com/about.php) website about him recently. I don't think he was related to Rod at all. :(
