Sawatdee Kaa, everyone! (That's "hello" in Thai. Although for the guys here, you would say "Sawatdee Khrab!", as "Kaa" is what women would say.) Here's a classic animation sighting that GAC readers might be interested in knowing about. I am currently staying in Thailand, and while flipping through channels on the TV in my hotel room, I came across the familiar cat and mouse (the classic theatricals at noon, and later in the day, the 1975 version) on on a Cartoon Network channel (in English). They also showed ads for Woody Woodpecker at 6:00 pm. It was nice to see some familiar faces while I'm so far away from home.

Always a great way to find comfort isn't it?;)

Yes, I will agree there. It certainly helped me, as I was really feeling out of place here...to be able to sit and watch Tom and Jerry in an unfamiliar place makes me realize just how small a world we live in after all.

If you pop into Pantip Plaza on Petchburi in Bangkok, 4th floor, side you came in on; one of the stores there has Tom and Jerry TV series on 3 DVD's as well as some later Tom and Jerry films. 100 baht a disk (about $3).
