ROTFLMFAO!!!!!!!

Ah, the Nostalgia Critic! Is there anything you can't do? :D

Seriously, everything that totally reeked about "Space Jam" (which pretty much was EVERYTHING) is nailed spot-on in this scathing, blow-by-blow review. No punches are pulled and none deserve to be. There's a not-so...ummm, pleasant section of the review where he makes an over-the-top reference to beastiality when slamming Lola Bunny which may make viewers uncomfortable (you have been warned!) but, hey, Lola Bunny is quite possibly the worst cartoon character ever created so we can forgive him for it.

I didn't think "Space Jam" was THAT bad

I think it was funny that he took "We Got Balls" out of context though!

That was awesome!!! The use of "Looney Tunes from the 50s" was well-done.

Dude, I love Space Jam. Better than Back in Action. I can't believe I actually wanted to see it in theaters but luckily it was taken off after 2 weeks.

I just couldn't stop laughing at the "we got balls!" part!

He neglected to mention that Pepe Le Pew didn't molest anybody. Other than that, I think he did a great job assessing this movie. It makes me wish Youtube was around back in 1996.

This all reminds me of an old BCDB thread (http://forum.bcdb.com/forum/gforum.cgi?post=5664;search_string=lola%20bunny%20 bugs%20bunny;guest=13735422#5664) about Lola Bunny that got quite heated.

Talk to Robert Crumb about "bunny boobies".

I used to love Space Jam. Just the one thing the critic didn't mention was that the film felt more like a fictional biography for Michael Jordan, which made it feel less like a Looney Tunes film.

Yeah, I agree that "Space Jam" was not one of the Looney Tunes (and Merrie Melodies) characters best moments. I actually prefered "Back in Action". Granted, the film had faults, most of it was because the suits couldn't keep their noses out of other peoples business, but it didn't have as many faults like "Space Jam". Plus, how come they made a new female character instead of the comic book character Honey Bunny or the one-shot character "DAAAASIY LOU"?

Here are two of the actual Air Jordan Looney commercials the Nostaglia Critic excerpted in his review.

Aside from the fact that they operate on using the worst stereotypes about the LT's/MM's, they're not funny. They're downright terrible.

I will say that there was more 'attitude' in the animation for Space Jam while BIA handled the characters closer to their original personalities.
But let's face it. Those 2 films are terrible when you compare it to something similar like Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
The one thing that hurt these films was the fact they are indeed aimed towards children.

Also, lets not forget those McDonalds commercials of the mid-90s that had the Looney Tunes squaring off with various MBA stars in a contest to win BigMacs and such...ewww.

I was literally laughing my head off after I saw this (http://youtube.com/watch?v=QIzbuAeDEQI)! The segment from "Willy Wonka" scared the bajeebers out of me when I was a toddler. Same with "Judge Doom".

You know what the amazing thing is, this movie had four writers, FOUR WRITERS!!! :p

I wanted to think this guy hasn't seen the kind of pics that come out of the anthro/furry crowd!

True, also rather awkward writing in my opinion (love the Space Jam four writers remark).

I actually enjoyed that scene in Willy Wonka! I wanted to say those lines constantly!

Pretty funny review. I liked the part with the aliens piling on Granny.

I'm bringing this back from the dead because the "Director's Cut" is on his main site. What I mean is that about 4 minutes is put in this one. So, prepared for even more reasons why he (and us) thinks this movie sucks.

Check it out!

The new version suffers from some really atrocious interlacing that wasn't present on the original Youtube cut (think the Looney Tunes DVD that warranted a replacement disc). I assuming the Critic/whoever put the video on the site went back to the original video files to make the Director's cut and something happened along the way (and yesterday is allllll we haaavvvvveeee....).

Eh, I can take or leave the new footage. It's mostly a few extra clips that build upon what was already there, and I just think the editing on the Youtube cut is tighter all around (the old and new stuff is seamlessly integrated though, as if The Critic took some stuff out of this version to make the Youtube version)
