There's a new national TV network called RTN, which stands for "Retro Television Network." It's a lot like TV Land used to before they started showing junk like "Just Shoot Me" and "Designing Women." They show "I Love Lucy," "Get Smart," "Hawaii Five-O," etc.
One program they show is a sketch comedy show from the early 70s called "Love, American Style." On Monday, the Pittsburgh affiliate (each city's affiliate has its own schedule) played an episode which was a cartoon. Not counting commericals, it was about 25 minutes long. It was called "Love And The Private Eye," and the lead character was named "Melvin Danger." It was directed by Hanna-Barbera, with music by Hoyt Curtain.
It was planned to be the pilot for a new spinoff series, but the spinoff series was cancelled, so it actually ended up being the only episode that was ever made.
I didn't like the cartoon, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
