Trying to remember a cartoon...

Totally random thought here... but my wife and I were talking about what we thought was a Looney Tunes cartoon, and the ONLY thing I can remember from it is a man with a big southern accent calling his dog, yelling "Beauregard! Here Boy!"

I just remember it being said in such a funny way that I told my wife I wanted to get a dog to name it Beauregard, just so I could stand on the porch and yell that myself.

I know it's a longshot, but if anyone has any idea what I'm talking about, your help is appreciated.

It was "Dog Gone South". The dog was actually called Belvedere.
