Without any surprise, Ratatouille wins the Academy-Award of Best Animated Feature Film when Peter and the Wolf wins for the Best Animated Short of this year.

Oh well, I was at work at the time, but glad to see two films I favored took the prize.

I was hoping that Ratatouille would also win one for Best Screenplay, and that Enchanted would win for one of their songs. (They were even played throughout the ceremony.)

But like each annual ceremony, this one was terribly biased.

Well, I'm still bitter about The Simpsons Movie being slighted for a nomination but, of the three nominated films, I think Ratatouille was clearly the justifiable winner here. I'm just glad the Oscar didn't go to "Surf's Up" which was clearly nothing but a "Happy Feet" clone which tried to copy the success of THAT year's Oscar winner to boot!

All in all, though, kudos to Ratatouille!

I actually rooted for Juno for Best Original Screenplay. And I've yet to see Ratatouille.

I saw Surf's Up, and it is NOT a clone of Happy Feet, but it certainly wasn't oscar worthy.
