I'm looking for a copy of "Swing You Sinners" as good as that owned by ASIFA.
I'll probaly (still don't know if I'll be able do be there) host a sort of "cartoon festival" inside a great comics/cartoons event that will happen in Naples in April and would like to show a sort of "Miscellaneous Madness" program with 10 cartoons from different Studios.
My copy of this short suck.
Anyone got that same ASIFA awesome copy? I can send many goodies in return of that single cartoon.

At least you have a copy, however poor or "illegitimate." It was not available in the past. So you are fortunate to have it in any form. Don't worry, be happy!

Don't know if that's the copy you have already, but Jerry Beck is offering it in one of the DVD's in his Garage Sale.

It's the 16mm one we are accustomed to:)

I actually am worry anyway, because in my copy, which is the same many others have, no one can really understand what is happening. It is extremely dark and the backgrounds are barely noticeable.
When I first saw this short I was so bored by the low sound and the fact that I could harldy see what was going on, that I just considered this cartoon as not worth of attention.
On the other hand, after watching the ASIFA copy I came out that it is a masterpiece of surrealism!

I actually have a pristine copy of Swing You Sinners, which is included in the French Betty Boop set. The quality is exactly the same as the ASIFA one - could be the same master used. :D
