IMO, it would be very nice if Disney can re-release some earlier Walt Disney Treasures, for those of us who didn't get the chance to purchase them.
My picks
Mickey Mouse (all four sets all in one box), in commemoration of Mickey's 80th anniversary, for 2008
The Complete Goofy (this would be nice because maybe they can include "How to Hook Up Your Home Theatre" to make it complete), in commemoration of Goofy's 70th anniversary as a solo star, for 2009.

What are your picks?

Sounds like a good idea. Especially add Soccermania in the Goofy re-release.

I would love to have the first two Mickey releases (B/W and Color respectively) as well as the Goofy DVD. I don't know if that will happen since Disney may not think that way, but they sure did surprise us with the new Goofy short in theaters now (judging entirely by your reactions, that is).

Of course, Disney can do whatever they please but one factor argues against a re-issue of the any of the Treasures sets - at least in the short term:

The sales of the Treasures sets have been rather small (especially when compared to Disney's regular releases). In fact, they were so small that there was talk of terminating the Treasures series last year.

As these titles have already sold to a number of collectors in their first release - how many additional buyers are really out there - from a mass marketing standpoint?

Of course, as a fellow cartoon collector, I can feel your pain if you are missing a title that you really want. I had trouble finding the first set of Mickey Mouse in Color until I found someone who sold me a Brazilian edition that plays just fine on my USA DVD player.

I still haven't got the Complete Goofy. In time, though...

A re-release would be great, but as was mentioned here already, it won't happen if the $$$ isn't there.
