50th anniversary of the Smurfs (although they didn´t come to America until 1981 via T.V. animation, they first appeared in 1958 as comic strip characters in the Belgian weekly Spirou)

60 years of the last The Fox & The Crow theatrical shorts - The Magic Wand and The Youth Fountain -, which were produced by UPA for Columbia Pictures. Both directed by John Hubley.
