Hi GACers! I apologize for my lack of posts lately. College kept me on my toes with papers and finals! On a good note I passed all of them! I wanted to wish all my fellow golden age cartoons fans MERRY CHRISTMAS! HAPPY NEW YEAR! If you don't celebrate Christmas, then happy holidays or season's greetings to you all. I hope everyone has a good Christmas.:speedy: :tweety:

I'm happy to be over with finals, for now until Spring hits!:daffy:

That's if Christmas even comes this year. It always seems to be in jeopardy in the Holiday specials. Why if it weren't for Rudolph's nose or the Grinch's change of heart...well, you know.

And remember: Santa doesn't control this holiday. We do. It happens because we want it to happen.

Put on your yarmulke
Here comes Chanukah
So much funukah
To celebrate Chanukah
Chanukah is the festival of lights
Instead of one day of presents, we have eight crazy nights

When you feel like the only kid in town without a Christmas tree
Heres a list of people who are Jewish just like you and me
David Lee roth Lights the menorah
So do James Caan, Kirk Douglas, and the late Dinah Shore-ah

Guess who eats together at the Carnegie Deli
Bowser from Sha Na Na and Arthur Fonzerelli
Paul Newmans half Jewish, Goldie Hawns half too
Put them together, what a fine lookin Jew

You dont need deck the halls or jingle bell rock
cause you can spin a dreidel with Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock- both jewish

Put on your yarmulke
Its time for Chanukah
The owner of the Seattle Supersonicahs
Celebrates Chanukah

O.J. Simpson, not a Jew
But guess who is? hall of famer Rod Carew -- he converted
We got Ann Landers and her sister Dear Abby
Harrison Fords a quarter Jewish- not too shabby

Some people think that Ebenezer Scrooge is
Well hes not, but guess who is
All Three Stooges
So many Jews are in showbiz
Tom Cruise isnt, but I heard his agent is

Tell your friend Veronica
Its time to celebrate Chanukah
I hope I get a harmonicah
Oh this lovely, lovely Chanukah
So drink your gin and tonicah
And smoke your marijuanikah
If you really, really wannakah
Have a happy, happy, happy, happy Chanukah
Happy Chanukah

I've been away during the past few months (mainly due to relocation from West to East England, and that is a LOT of miles to move most of my stuff, believe me), but I'm back in time to say:

Merry Xmas to all my fellow GACers!!! :) :bugs2: :daffy: :lepew: :tomcat: :jerry: :woody: :rabbit: :goof: :fox: :crow: :felix:

Merry Christmas! Also, I wanted to tell everyone that I'm working on a movie called Sweet as Candy. I have been working on the script for about two weeks now - not done yet, but trying to do so. If you read the script, it has a little bit of Kevin Smith in it (yes, there are f-bombs up the wazoo) This will be my first feature and I hope I don't fail.

My holiday greeting below actually comes from the recorded words of legendary New York radio on-air personality Harry Harrison [WMCA, WABC, WCBS-FM]. These classic season's greetings wishes are as timeless then as it today. Have a true Merry Christmas and an awesome exciting new year of 2008, with joy, togetherness and happiness!!!

"May You Always"

As the holiday bells ring out the old year, and sweethearts kiss,
And cold hands touch and warm each other against the year ahead,
May I wish you not the biggest and best of life,
But the small pleasures that make living worthwhile.

Sometime during the New Year, to keep your heart in practice,
May you do someone a secret good deed and not get caught at it.
May you find a little island of time to read that book and write that letter
And to visit that lonely friend on the other side of town.

May your next do-it-yourself project not look like you did it yourself.
May the poor relatives you helped support remember you when they win the lottery.
May your best card tricks win admiring gasps and your worst puns, admiring groans.
May all those who told you so, refrain from saying, “I told you so.”

May all the predictions you’ve made for your first-born’s future come true.
May just half of those optimistic predictions that your high school annual made for you come true.
In a time of sink or swim, may you find you can walk to shore before you call the lifeguard.
May you keep at least one ideal you can pass along to your kids.

For a change, some rainy day, when you’re a few minutes late,
May your train or bus be waiting for you.
May you accidentally overhear someone saying something nice about you.
If you run into an old school chum,
May you both remember each other’s names for introductions.
If you order your steak medium rare, may it be so.
And, if you’re on a diet,
May someone tell you, “You’ve lost a little weight”, without knowing you’re on a diet.

May that long and lonely night be brightened by the telephone call that you’ve been waiting for.
When you reach into the coin slot, may you find the coin that you lost on your last wrong number.
When you trip and fall, may there be no one watching to laugh at you or feel sorry for you.

And sometime soon, may you be waved to by a celebrity,
Wagged at by a puppy,
Run to by a happy child,
And counted on by someone you love.
More than this, no one can wish you.

Happy Holidays

I always looked forward to hearing that recording around the Holidays when I listened to WCBS-FM. I gotta start listening to the radio more than my iPod... which is currently in the shop. Now all I need is a cheap portable radio to listen to. :D

[And my VERY extensive DNA tests last year confirmed that on purely a genetic basis I can celebrate Hannukah:cool: and Kwanzaa:cool: ! And I don't know of my American Indian ancestors having a Dec. holiday to celebrate]:bugs2:

HODEY HODEY HO! MERRY CHRISTMAS! Funny that one of my gifts is a musicals 50 movie DVD set that has "Hi-De-Ho" on it, and I also got "Betty Boop for President" (1980 movie) with the famous scenes in it (but in colour this time! :)
