I'd have to go for Drip Drippy Donald. I've always quite liked that one. The frustration on Donald's face when he just really really wants to sleep really really seems to speak to me. You can't help but feel sorry for the poor duck.

And I know this isn't solely a Donald Duck cartoon, but if the best cartoons are meant to excite and captivate you when you watch them for the first time and then evoke memories of the first time you saw them, umpteen years down the line, then Donald's scenes on the mainspring in Clock Cleaners does its job and then some. Fond memories of my childhood there. It positively reeks of 1937, the year of the cartoon's release, but it still holds up well in 2007, seventy years later.

I won't count any of the Don's appearances in Mickey Mouse cartoons because, well, those are Mickey Mouse cartoons.

And truth be told, Donald was my least favorite of Disney's "Big 3" (Mickey-Donald-Goofy). While I love what Carl Barks did with the character in comic books, I was never all that fond of the Donald cartoons when growing up.

Now that I've had a chance to sample all of Mr. Duck's screen career, there are many that I truly enjoy.
