A while ago I posted that in the 1970s a Paramount cartoon was booked with Deep Throat at a theater. I haven't found anything quite that weird since then, but this one is ironic. According to the newspaper Modesto Bee and News-Herald's movie listings for November 23, 1972, the Barbra Streisand-Ryan O'Neal movie What's Up, Doc? was billed with . . . drum roll, please. . . For the Love of Pizza, a new "Woody Woodpecker" cartoon (and one of the last Lantz shorts ever made).:woody:

Sorry, Bugs. :bugs2:

What weird movie-cartoon bookings do you know about?

Back in 1976, after Lantz's studio had closed, I saw one of Smith's later Woody cartoons booked in the middle of a double feature of "Kentucky Fried Movie" and "Flesh Gordon" at a theater in Greenwich Village. Don't remember which Paul J. Smith disaster it was, but it definitely was from the 1968-72 period.
